Anyway, I have an old 300 model 99 that had too many splits in the forend. The folks in the link below have all sorts of Savage 99 stocks and forends. Prices are very good compared to what I have seen elsewhere for stocks. They tell me to just remove it and the new stock bolt that they sent will go right in.
